Terms & Conditions – Calm After Cancer

  • Your use is voluntary, and we may revoke access if needed.
  • The Calm After Cancer Self-Paced Program is non-refundable and does not include direct therapeutic support.
  • Questions may be submitted in the community chat or anonymous Q&A form, but responses are general and educational only.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this program.

1. Overview

1.1. The Cancer Rollercoaster is an online platform providing psychoeducational resources and structured programs for people affected by cancer.

1.2. All materials are educational in nature, informed by evidence-based psychological approaches. This program does not provide therapy, clinical treatment, or crisis intervention.

1.3. The Calm After Cancer Self-Paced Program is a paid, self-guided educational resource. It is not a substitute for psychological treatment, and no therapeutic relationship is created.

1.4. The program is operated by MRD PSYCHOLOGY PTY LTD, with content authored by Michelle R Davey, a registered Clinical Psychologist in Australia.

2. Purpose & Program Structure

2.1. This program provides:

  • Access to pre-recorded video modules
  • Downloadable psychoeducational resources
  • Access to a moderated community space during the program period
  • The opportunity to submit questions via the community chat or an anonymous Q&A form

2.2. All responses to submitted questions are generalised and educational, not tailored therapy or treatment advice.

2.3. Engagement is voluntary. No individualised or crisis support is provided.

2.4. Program content may be updated, revised, or removed at the discretion of The Cancer Rollercoaster team.

3. Relationship with Michelle R Davey and MRD Psychology

3.1. While content is authored by Michelle R Davey (Clinical Psychologist), your participation does not make you a client of Michelle R Davey or MRD Psychology.

3.2. Accessing the program does not establish a therapeutic relationship, nor does it meet AHPRA’s definition of a psychological service.

3.3. Enrolment in the program precludes you from becoming a private client of Michelle R Davey due to ethical limitations around dual relationships.

3.4. If your needs exceed the scope of psychoeducation, you may be directed to your GP or a registered mental health provider.

3.5. We may revoke access to maintain safety, ethical compliance, or program integrity.

4. Informed Consent

By using this program, you acknowledge that:

  • You are voluntarily accessing general educational content, not treatment.
  • The program may not be appropriate for all individuals or circumstances.
  • You are responsible for seeking professional advice when required.
  • You are solely responsible for how you apply the information.
  • Fees are non-refundable.
  • The program does not include direct email, messaging, or therapeutic support.

5. Q&A Submissions

5.1. You may submit questions via the community chat or the anonymous Q&A form.

5.2. Responses are educational only, designed to clarify program content, not to provide personalised psychological assessment or treatment.

5.3. Submissions must not include identifiable health information or crisis disclosures.

5.4. Questions may be addressed in written format or via pre-recorded video responses, shared with the program community.

6. Emergencies and Crisis Situations

6.1. This program is not suitable for urgent psychological care.

6.2. If you are in crisis, contact:

6.3. We do not monitor submissions or messages in real-time.

7. Community Conduct & Moderation

7.1. All participants must follow the Community Guidelines.

7.2. You must not share false health claims, promote unverified treatments, engage in harassment, or use the space for self-promotion.

7.3. Breaches may result in removal without refund.

8. Technology & Platform Use

8.1. The program is delivered via the Circle platform. You are responsible for your own device, internet, and login security.

8.2. Circle has its own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

8.3. We are not responsible for outages, technical errors, or third-party platform issues (e.g., Circle, Kit, Stripe, Square).

9. Privacy & Data Handling

9.1. All personal data is managed under our Privacy Policy.

9.2. If you choose to submit questions in the community or anonymous Q&A form, your submissions may be stored securely. These are not individual assessments and are responded to in general educational terms only.

9.3. You control what personal information you share in the community.

10. Intellectual Property

10.1. All videos, resources, and materials are the intellectual property of MRD PSYCHOLOGY PTY LTD.

10.2. Materials are for individual use only and cannot be shared, redistributed, or sold.

10.3. Sharing logins is prohibited.

11. Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability

11.1. This program is educational only. It is not therapy or medical advice.

11.1.1. The Calm After Cancer Self-Paced Program is designed as a general educational resource for people who have experienced cancer. If you are finding your fears or worries are frequent, intense, or significantly affecting your wellbeing, please seek professional psychological support.

11.2. We make no guarantees of outcomes, emotional relief, or improvements.

11.3. You are responsible for any decisions or actions you take based on program content.

11.4. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MRD PSYCHOLOGY PTY LTD disclaims liability for any harm, loss, or damages from use of this program.

12. Termination & Removal

12.1. We may suspend or remove access at any time for misuse, safety concerns, or breach of these Terms.

12.2. No compensation or refunds will be provided in such cases.

13. Governing Law

13.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

13.2. Any disputes will be handled in the jurisdiction of NSW courts.
